A bitch about to be sacrificed becomes therapy for people with mental disorders

They say that some are born lucky… unfortunately many animals don’t have it, but today we bring you a touching story about a puppy that was very lucky. We’d love to hear that with all animals in the same situation the same thing happens, but who knows possibly someday it will. But for now, let’s enjoy the story of Dama, a Husky bitch from Romania. A bitch about to be sacrificed, but who became an inspiration for everyone.

For this little dog, the lucky star shone at the most opportune moment, when she was about to be sacrificed. And not only that, but your life has also taken a complete turn. We will now tell her story. Don’t miss it!

Lady, the abandoned Husky bitch. A bitch about to be sacrificed

It’s not common to see an abandoned breed dog, but Dama, a beautiful Husky puppy was. A kennel in Romania undertook to rescue her in the hope that someone would adopt her. But that never seemed to happen, so it was time to sacrifice her and give her place to other dogs, sad, but that’s what happens.

Most people are unwilling to adopt an adult dog, and this causes kennels to sacrifice hundreds of adult animals every year. However, there was someone willing to help: the Laika Foundation.

The Laika Foundation contacted this kennel. This foundation focuses all its efforts on rescuing dogs that have been taken to kennels in Romania, Kosovo, Belize and Thailand.

Their way of working and contacting people who want to adopt an animal is through social media. Blessed Internet!

The announcement

An ad for this Foundation on Facebook was seen by a woman with a big heart and who believed she could contribute my little grain of sand, so she quickly contacted them to adopt her.

This woman, who lives in Wales, stated that she had dogs and cats and that she felt the need to do something even though she was a dog from Romania.

After contacting the Foundation, Dama was sent to a foster home for two weeks, waiting to be sent to her new home. And it happened…

Lady, the Husky bitch, her new home and her new job

Lady soon found her new owner. She wanted the animal to have a happy new life and to feel useful, so she trained Dama to be an ideal therapy bitch.

Now Dama every week goes to a mental health center to help them relax and feel better. Like many other therapist dogs, Dama saw that giving something to others is a wonderful thing.

Lady, the abandoned Husky dog not only had the opportunity to continue living, but also to have a life surrounded by people who love her and to fill her life with meaning, helping others. What more could she want?

Today, many animals have been trained as therapy or assistance dogs. There are many who work as police dogs or as “researchers” in the fight against diseases such as cancer.

Dogs have already shown that they want to live with us in peace, however much we continue to harm them. We want a world where we are all like this woman, willing to sacrifice her personal interests to help an animal have a better life.

If you don’t have a pet and you want one, why not go to a kennel or some protective association and look for one to love, regardless of its beauty, condition, or age? You will have a faithful and loyal love for the rest of your life, or at least for the rest of his life.
