Animals have been present in our lives since we were children. Cartoons have already taught us about some of them, and when we found out they were real species, we were surprised. Would you like to take a tour of the cartoons that helped us meet some animals?

Cartoons that helped us meet some animals

Warner Bross

Warner’s factory was full of animals that marked our childhood. Tom and Jerry, the cat and the mouse, Bugs, the Daffy Duck, Frajola and Tweety, and many more.

Tasmanian Devil

But among all of them, we want to highlight one in particular that we didn’t even believe existed: the Tasmanian devil, the Taz.

This “little animal”, as we affectionately called it when we were children, didn’t even speak, but conquered our hearts. When we saw the animal itself coming from Australia, we loved it! Is that you?

the coyote and roadrunner

We laughed a lot about everything that happened to the coyote while chasing the roadrunner… but after a few years, we got to the point where we even felt sorry, didn’t the same thing happen to you?

Thanks to these drawings, we learned the difference between a wolf and a coyote, and also got to know this hunting animal, which looked a little clumsy.

Coyote

Or was it the roadrunner who was very skilled? For years, many have wondered if the roadrunner was a fictional character or a real animal. And there are still those who don’t know it.

Well, this bird is real, and is colloquially known as the cuckoo cock ( Geococcyx californianus ), which can reach up to 40 km/h of speed. He lives in Mexico, which is why most of the scenes in the cartoon took place in the Mexican desert.

Scooby Doo

This cartoon series introduced us to one of the largest species of dog in the world, the Great Dane.

Scooby ‘s character clearly showed the character and personality of this dog. Friendly, noble, docile and very intelligent.

Tintin

Do you remember the series of the young detective who fought against evil? His dog, Lulu, was a beautiful black terrier who very well captured the true personality of these dogs.

Although he was intelligent and cautious, he was also strong-willed and often angry. Of course, the dog was always faithful to his master, from whom he never parted.

Garfield

If we were asked who Garfield is, we could only say that he was a lazy orange cat and that he loved lasagna. But is there a race with similar characteristics, even if they are just physical?

Kitten look like Garfield

Yes there is. Although cats like to eat, we are sure they will like lasagna too, even if it is not tuna!

And yes, it’s also a very lazy breed, because it walks like it’s dragging its paws. It is the exotic cat from America, born from a mixture of Persian and British short- haired cats.

Although there are many colors allowed for this breed, the Garfield color does exist, the Garfield is real!

The Lion King

Who would have thought that a movie about a lion cub would become a cross-border hit? Among other things, it was due to one of its main characters: Timon, a meerkat who made us know more about this animal.

We also met the fun Pumbaa which, although many have mistaken it for a common boar, isn’t. It is a wild boar that lives only in Africa and, like pigs, likes to bathe in the mud.

The friendship between Timon and Pumba was not a coincidence, as both species live in the same area and it’s not difficult to see them lying together in the sun.
