Captain's story

Capitán is a crossbred dog, with characteristics of a German Shepherd, that Miguel Guzmán decided to adopt for his son.

Verónica, the mother, however, did not think the idea was a very good one. From your point of view, that would mean more work than you already had at home.

But in the end, by the way the dog was, all the members of the family became attached to him.

This took place in 2005 in the city of Carlos Paz, Córdoba, Argentina. The following year, the father of the family became ill and underwent treatments at various hospitals until, in the end, Miguel Guzmán sadly died.

However, Capitán also disappeared and no one knew his whereabouts. But he soon returned to the family home and remained on the street, where he hovered around the residence for a week.

However, after a few days, Capitán did not return home and the family thought that he had been lost permanently, that someone had adopted him or, worse, that he might have died.

However, one fine day the wife of the deceased owner of the dog and his son went to visit the grave of their loved one and imagine the surprise they had when they saw that next to Miguel’s tomb  was their faithful friend Capitán.

Damián, the couple’s son, did not stop screaming with joy when he saw his great companion, however, even more surprising was the dog’s reaction, which began to bark as if it were a bitter cry.

The family decided to take Capitán back home. He, however, did not want to, preferred to remain in the cemetery at the grave of his dear friend.

From time to time he returns to the house, but never to stay. After some time, he decides to return to the cemetery, more precisely to be next to Miguel’s tomb.

The next time the family returned to the cemetery, Capitán remained there beside his great friend. This time, the dog decided to accompany the family to the house. However, after a few moments, Capitán returned to the cemetery.

The cemetery director says with great astonishment that the dog arrived at the cemetery alone and was wandering around until it found its owner’s grave.
